HOMESCHOOL DAYS

“ When the atmosphere encourages learning, the learning is inevitable.” - Elizabeth Foss

We know how important it is for children to have the opportunity for social interaction. We also recognize that conventional public and private schooling is not the right choice for everyone. We are happy to offer a chance for the children that are homeschooled, to join us for an educational opportunity on horses and farm life, as well as some fun with our animals!

Our homeschool days are designed to be a hands-on educational day. This program allows for the opportunity to learn about basic equine care, how to groom horses, their natural living, and maybe even a pony ride! (Pony rides only if weather permits). Participants are welcome to come at 8:30AM to help with chores; otherwise each session runs from 9:30AM -11:00AM.

Families are welcome to have a picnic lunch after the lesson (food not to be provided by North Winds Rescue).

For available dates, or to sign up please click “sign me up” below. Due to the size of our rescue, we are only able to offer limited spots for each time slot. If we run short on spots available please reach out to discuss further options. We recommend a minimum donation of $5.00 per child for this event. Please continue to check back for additional dates, as we often add more!

NOTE: Children must be 5 years old up for pony rides. A parent or guardian will need to be present for the entire session. Everyone who is comes to the rescue property will be required to sign a waiver.

TO SIGN UP: GO TO THE STORE, AND CHOOSE THE READ TO THE RESCUES OPTION, OR ‘CLICK SIGN ME’ UP BELOW.
